Getting in the live competition is all about garnering enough online votes to be one of the top eight finalist, or one of the two AX2G judges pick in any of the six designated regions. Then AX2G we'll produce the interactive spectacle worthy of your attention, where guitarist with backing will duel it out live on stage in a head to head battle for cash prizes, unvarnished bragging rights, and a shot at the AX2GRIND championship trophy.
WHY
To revive the guitar, and the guitarist to the rightful place as the driver of rock music. AX2G defines the guitar as the sweetest, and most revolutionary manmade device ever designed. The sound that emanated from guitars before, then after Hendrix is the paradigm. The unique sound was so undeniably innovative, and yet indescribable. Clearly a shift in how the human ear would comprehend guitar. Absorbing Hendrix to us was beautifully confusing, and confounding as well. The inspired note bending emanating from his guitar made most of the popular guitar heroes of the time seem impotent, and just irrelevant. Since exposed to Hendrix there’s been other innovators like Beck, Cooder, Van Halen, Satriani, and Vie to mention just a few. Now is the appropriate time to introduce the next generation of inspired players through AX2GRIND.COM.
HOW
We're soliciting online auditions from spirited guitarist interested in exposing their chops to the world, and facing a challenge of a lifetime duel like none before. Once Their auditions are available to view, the online audience will vote for the guitarist that moves, and inspires them. The online votes will be tabulated to determine the top eight in each region who'll compete in the live championship, along with the two AX2G judges picks. Once we've established the competitors, our crews will produce, and stream live an all out, no holds bard, head to head duel live on stage. They'll be cutting heads baby!! All that is required of entries is to be as creative, and inspired as their ability allows in a 90 second audition video. Then tell us a little bit about themselves, Their vision, and a link to their web site, should one exist, It’s not required though, as the next phenom we’re searching for may not be known to mankind yet, or maybe they've been right there before us all along.
WHEN
The regional AX-2-GRIND live competitions will occur once we've distinguished eight (8) guitarist through online votes. The first regional competition is tentatively scheduled for the home of AX2GRIND Grand Rapids Michigan. Other designated locations will be Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Seattle, and Austin.
